Valentine Flowers, Dinner, and Beer!

Let it never be said that there is no romance in craft beer. As I continue to spread the word about craft beer, promote pairings with great food, and the belief that beer is for everyone, every once in a while I find myself part of something new and exciting. I was approached recently by Cassie Osterloth, owner of Wonderland Floral Art and Gift Loft in St. Petersburg, about doing a beer pairing dinner with a special twist: floral arrangement. Now, I will admit that my first reaction was something like “…huh?”  But when the concept was described to me, I knew I had to do it. And what a great thing for couples to do right before Valentine’s Day. Great food paired with delicious local beer, a fun and social event, and with a beautiful flower arrangement to show for it in the end! I can attest to the quality of the flowers, too. My wife and kids did a class during the holidays and come home with two gorgeous Christmas centerpieces. And the kids had a great time!

This one is for adults, and I do not expect it to be anything less than fantastic. I am really excited about the menu from Mazzaro’s Italian Market and the beers I have chosen to pair with it. A huge thanks in advance to Cigar City, Cycle Brewing, and Rapp Brewing. You guys are all awesome.

Wonderland Floral Art and Gift Loft hosts the first Valentine’s couples’ class !

It’s Valentine’s Day. Try something  FUN, FRESH AND FANTASTIC! Join us for a romantic couples’ floral design class at  Wonderland Floral Art and Gift Loft. We will be featuring a four-course gourmet dinner  catered by Mazzaro’s Italian Market. Enjoy a craft beer pairing by Sean Nordquist of Beer for the Daddy and Creative Loafing featuring local brewers, Cigar City, Cycle Brewing and Rapp Brewing. Couples will create one incredible Valentine arrangement together featuring orchids, anthurium, lilies, gerbera daisies, hydrangea and roses.Don’t stand in line only to be rushed out the door.  Have a fantastic dinner with us and share a fun evening with your someone special creating something beautiful.  Make it a Valentine’s Day to remember! Tuesday, February 12th & Wednesday, February 13th. Doors open at 6:00P.M. with appetizers and the first craft beer. Cost is $150.00 per couple.
